The end of the school year often means giving gifts to the teachers who have supported and nurtured our children for the whole school year.
Here are a couple of Fun Gift Ideas that are Useful and Frugal: |
(I bought everything at the dollar store!).
Orange You Glad It's Summer?
Lila and I had a blast looking for useful orange items to make this fun basket. You could use a bag instead. We found some orange-flavored chewy candy, orange-flavored drink mix, orange nail polish, coasters shaped like orange slices, an orange freezable plastic drink glass, an orange cup with a straw, an orange personal fan, orange sticky notes, napkins with citrus slices, and orange silly string!!! Simply put all of the items in the orange basket, print out a little tag that says "Orange You Glad It's Summer?" and attach it with an orange ribbon. All for under $12, and about 10 minutes to put together!
Summer Survival Kit
Teachers are ready for a little break after all those months of teaching, and they'll be back at lesson planning long before the summer is actually over, so send them off with a little survival kit. Again, shopping at the dollar store made this gift about $12, and took only about 10 minutes to put it together. Snacks and candy always make good treats, plus some activity books, sunblock, a water bottle, lip balm, and some leis (teachers are fun, too!). Put them all in the bag and create a little "Summer Survival Kit" tag and attach it with a ribbon.
