There are a few great launch points along the way. Can be a little algae-filled with a strong current and quite a few shallow areas but a very lovely spot.

Nice, calm waters for rowing and floating - neighborhood feel - calm and quiet.
CLARK
Jackson Pond
Parkway Dr, Clark, NJ 07066
Great fishing and boating pond leading to the Rahway River. Sometimes it may be very algae and lily-pad-filled but still enjoyable for a relaxing day on the water. There are a few, decent launch points around the pond area.
LINDEN
Kayak Launch / Bloodgood Pond
Parkway Drive, Linden NJ 07036
Convenient, small parking area right by the boat launch area. Nice calm, clear waters for rowing or relaxing. Many lily pads, a few shaded areas and a pathway to the Rahway River.
RAHWAY
Milton Lake
676 Madison Avenue, Rahway NJ 07065
Great Lake leading to Robinson's Branch. Easier launch area on the back side near the walking path. Great, quiet neighborhood view. Happy paddling and floating.
SEWAREN
Captain Carlsen Park
Ferry St, Sewaren NJ 07077
Great launch area and free parking. Use the official dock area for a fee or just go off to the side for free then row with the big commercial boats, tug boats and recreational jet skis, paddle boats, and motorboats on/near Arthur Kill.
EDISON
Raritan River Boat Launch
1.1 miles from Woodbridge Avenue, Edison NJ 08817
Multiple entrance spots for all sorts of water crafts. Enjoy the views along the Raritan River.
PERTH AMBOY
Garden State Kayakers
Second Street, Perth Amboy NJ
Kayak tour afternoons from 3pm to 8pm - check out tour options on their website.
MATAWAN
Cheesequake State Park
300 Gordon Road, Matawan NJ 07747
Freshwater and saltwater areas to row and float. The park has an entrance fee and many other available family activities.
